Keep the world worth reading.
Creative surprises belong here. Content that puts people at risk does not.
Make room for creative freedom
Unusual ideas, imperfect grammar, unexpected turns, and bold choices are welcome. Each proposal should continue the shared story in one sentence, in English. Safety checks are not a ranking of literary quality.
Treat people with care
- Do not harass, bully, threaten, target, or dehumanize a person or group.
- Hate speech and discriminatory abuse are not welcome.
- Never submit sexual content involving minors or sexualize a minor.
- Do not publish private or identifying information, including addresses, private contact details, credentials, or information shared without consent.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent who created or authorized text.
Keep dangerous material out
- No explicit sexual content.
- No threats, praise or instructions for real-world violence, or actionable instructions for dangerous or illegal acts.
- Do not encourage, instruct, or provide methods for self-harm. Sensitive fictional themes should avoid graphic or actionable detail.
- Do not use the story to expose, recruit for, or facilitate harmful activity.
Respect the shared process
You must be 16 or older to participate. Write your own contribution; do not use AI to write or rewrite story sentences.
- Submit one sentence when selected and follow the live writing rules.
- Do not submit spam, advertisements, promotional copy, or links.
- Do not manipulate votes or writer selection, coordinate deceptive voting, create or use multiple accounts for an unfair advantage, or use bots and automation to participate.
- Do not evade or attempt to bypass safety checks. Do not present someone else's writing as your own; only submit material you created or are authorized to use.
Safety review and reporting
AI may assist with safety moderation only. It never writes, rewrites, ranks, selects, or chooses story content. Humans write the sentences and human votes determine the result.
Submissions may be checked with automated safety tools and reviewed by project moderators. A report does not by itself remove content, and no response time or formal appeal process is promised.
Use the report option where one is shown, or contact the project about a safety concern. Moderation exists to protect people and the process—not to choose the story's direction.
